The first tray

A simple path from seed to snip.

1. Set up your tray

Fill a clean shallow tray with pre-moistened growing medium. Smooth the surface lightly so your seeds have an even place to settle.

2. Sow with a gentle hand

Scatter seeds close together without piling them up. Mist thoroughly, cover for blackout time, and keep the tray comfortably warm.

3. Uncover and brighten

After germination, move your tray into bright indirect light. Water from the bottom when the medium begins to feel lighter.

4. Harvest at peak freshness

Most microgreens are ready in 7–14 days. Snip just above the soil line, rinse gently, and enjoy right away.

Harvest tips for brighter flavor

Cut in the morning when greens are crisp. Use clean scissors, leave the growing medium behind, and refrigerate unwashed microgreens in a breathable container. Add them at the end of cooking, or enjoy them fresh in bowls, sandwiches, eggs, and smoothies.

A nourishing habit

Little greens, big everyday potential.

Color belongs on the plate

Rotate different microgreen varieties to bring a range of flavors, colors, and plant nutrients to everyday meals.

Fresh is the easy habit

A countertop harvest makes it easier to add a handful of greens whenever you are making a meal.

Keep learning as you grow

Notice the light, watering rhythm, and flavor you enjoy most. Your next tray can be even better than the last.
